AMS-IX instability

Since 09:22 CET, we have been observing instability on AMS-IX Internet Exchange. We have disabled our routes to AMS-IX and reroute all traffic, however it might be that some of your connections still pass through AMS-IX via other networks.

AMS-IX is aware of the problem and is working on fixing it.

Incident in DC1

Power incident DC2

We're currently experiencing a power incident in DC2. Data center engineers are currently working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. At the moment we do not have an ETA yet from the datacenter. We will share updates as soon as they come in.

Network issues in rack

We're currently experiencing network issues in one of our rack, which affects a subset of the servers hosted there. Our engineers are currently working to resolve the issue on priority. At the moment we do not have an ETA, but we will post updates here as soon as they are available.

Network instability at AMS-IX

Today around 19:08 UTC we identified instabilities at the AMS-IX internet exchange. It seems to affect the entire internet exchange. We are routing around the issue, but impact might still be noticed while other networks reconverge.

Network incident at upstream

We have detected a network issue around 11:26 CEST, and traced this to upstream issues at one of our providers.

We have rerouted all traffic at 11:31, and disabled all connections to this provider until the issue is resolved.

Access switch partial failure

We have identified a faulty access switch in our network. The error leads to intermittent packet loss to about 20 servers connected to ports of this switch.

To prevent further escalation and resolve the issue, we will perform an emergency switch replacement as soon as possible.

We expect that this replacement will happen around 15:00 CET today, and will take 15-30 minutes in which your server will be unreachable.

Unexpected switch reboot

We identified an unexpected switch reboot around 11:10 CET affecting around 20 servers. All services went back up after the reboot. Currently investigating the issue.

Partial service disrution in DC1

At 8PM Dutch time we were notified of a partial service disruption in one of our datacenter location.

Engineers are moving on site to investigate the issue.

Power maintenance

Service Type = Room divider maintenance, A-feed Room 3

Start: 14-12-2018 00:00 CET (Amsterdam time)

End: 14-12-2018 02:00 CET

Duration: 1 -2 hours

During this maintenance the power feed to your server will be disconnected The maintenance will be combined with a regular circuit breaker test, in order to prevent another maintenance window in 2019.

After this maintenance is finished we will ensure all servers are up and running again.

Not all servers will be affected, we have individually emailed all customers affected

Network outage

We have detected a network outage and are currently investigating the issue. We will post an update here as soon as there is more information

[Update 8:48] The datacenter has confirmed issues with the distribution routers. Engineers are currently working on a fix.

[Update 9:17] The connections are coming back online again. This morning the datacenter performed an emergency maintenance on the distribution routers that seems to have gone bad. We will wait for their Reason for Outage and provide more details later.

[Update 9:23] The problem seems to still be intermittent. We will await further updates from datacenter.

[Update 12:15] The situation is stable now for a while. We’ll keep monitoring the connectivity closely

[Update 19/11] A Reason for Outage report was send to all customers.

Short network disruption

We experienced a short network disruption when the datacenter was replacing a failed component on the network. Due to the redundant design of the network, no disruption was expected. We are now investigating why this happened

Network issue DC2

We're currently getting alerts of a partial network outage in DC2. Network engineers are working to fix the problem as soon as possible. We will update once there is more information available.

The problem is found, isolated and we will start with investigating to find out the real cause of the problem. We keep you posted.

Network issue DC1

We experienced a network issue between 15:56 and 15:59 in DC1 We are currently investigating the cause and will update once there is more info

[Update 17:55] After investigation, we found out that our upstream network provider replaced a faulty hardware part. Because of the redundant network design, this should not have impacted the network. However due to a misconfiguration it did. After finding out, they immediately switched the config back. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Please contact support if you have any further questions regarding this matter.

Power issue at DC1

[Update 31 May] An official Reason for Outage report from the datacenter is now available. Please contact us if you are interested in the details at support@greenmini.nl

[Update 22:20] Update from datacenter:

The switchback is successfully completed, everything is back to normal. Therefore, we see this maintenance as solved / closed. Tomorrow, a reason for outage will be sent to all affected users.

[Update 19:00] Update from datacenter:

All broken power breakers are replaced, all UPS systems are tested twice (by different ABB engineers, which checked each others work). Everything is ready to switch from generator to normal power. Switching back to normal power will be done today at 22:00 hours Europe/Amsterdam time. No power outage wil be expected during this emergency window.

[Update 14:19] Update from datacenter:

Currently, we are waiting for new hardware components. Until then, there is nothing new to report. DC is still running on generator power.

[Update 10:48] Datacenter has provided a reason for outage

Reason: Human mistake by supplier engineer during maintenance

[Update 10:40] Connectivity is restoring at the moment. It seems there was a power hiccup in DC1 on one power feed. This means some servers are rebooted. We will go on site as soon as possible to perform any manual action that may be required. We will update you on this page in case we get more information from the datacenter.
